In our wedding vows in 1981, we promised each other to be there “in sickness and in health”… “for richer or poorer” … and to be “partners in adventure”. This has been our mantra over the last 35+ years. We currently enjoy traveling the globe and coaching “Design Thinking” in a wide variety of venues (both physical and vitural). Our current joke is that we spend 6 months a year in San Francisco, 6 months in our vacation home in Ketchum, Idaho and 6 months traveling. You do the math!
We started his blog in 2013, when we spent 7 months in Africa. Then we continued writing in 2014 as we spent 6 months in Chile. Since this time, we’ve traveled to Cuba, Bhutan, SriLanka, India and many other places. We invite you to share our journey through this blog.
In Accra, Ghana, we were honored to be part of Stanford University’s Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies (SEED). As Business Coaches, we worked collaboratively with established businesses in Ghana, Nigeria, and Cote d’Ivoire to encourage innovation and economic growth. What an adventure!
And, we were privileged to live in Santiago as entrepreneurs in the “Startup Chile” program. It was fascinating to work in an incubator with entrepreneurs from all around the world. Unfortunately, our social enterprise, RahRah4Good, was not successful, but it proved to be a wonderful learning experience.
Our journey as “partners in adventure” started when we met at the Stanford Business School in 1978. Here are some pics from this journey.
